Going Green without Going Nuts

A green wedding demands a lot from any bride and groom. You even think about bird seeds instead of the rice grains to shower good luck to the newlyweds after the ceremony. Bird seeds are known to be biodegradable. But then they also allow for some shrubs or grasses to grow in the area which will require the use of chemicals and electricity for lawn mowers to cut the grasses.

So the safest would be to come up with an alternative, and could there be anything better than the shower bubbles? People would still have something to say about these great bubbles, maybe the detergent or whatnot.  The truth is that we can’t say that our wedding is completely zero carbon emission. The goal here is to minimize and make sure that whatever pressure you put into the environment during your wedding, the environment can naturally cope with it.

That is the same with your all-natural wedding bands. Whether you come up with vintage rings that have less energy consumption to produce, or a wooden wedding band, you always have to make sure that making one won’t be equivalent to making a 100 ton of plastics.

It may also be important for you to maintain the same consciousness even after the wedding vows are made. In fact, the green wedding is just the first step towards what can be a lifetime commitment with the environment as well.
